me

Jerry and I have been married nearly 25years.  We have 4 children ages 23, 17, 13, and 6.

We live in the Rocky Mountians and love it here. We’ve been homeschooling since 1992.

I own an online Cross Stitch Webshop ,  In my ’spare’ time I cross stitch as much as possible, do a little sewing and knitting, and I love to read good books.

You are very sweet Debby. I stitch whenever I get a chance but I have to say my real secret for having more time to do what I really want is no television, it was really stealing my time and I don’t miss it one bit.

    Hi, Mary Kathryn,

I reached here through the picture of your icthus cross-stitching on yahoo groups.

I gave my big television set which my husband had purchased before I married him to a women’s and children’s shelter. I can tell by the electrical bill when my mother has visited as it shows amount of electricity used each month. If I watch two hours of television per YEAR, I have watched a great amount. BUT the radio is always on. We have a group of Christian stations here in Southwestern Ontario. I also enjoy a local easy listening station which has a gospel show. My small TV upstairs has one dail which I set to ‘U’ and then I turn the second dial to the number for the stations I want if the dial number is greater than 13.

I hesitated to get internet access at home because I thought I would spend too much time there without realizing how many hours had passed. My girlfriend recommended a timer or alarm so I could end my sessions on time. So the computer – in boxes – arrived this morning. I haven’t made it home yet from my trip (supposedly) to the doctor. I’m at the senior centre downtown on the computer –no time limit.

    God Bless,

    Margaret

Hi! I just stumbled into your site from another and wanted to say how much I enjoyed my visit, especially your “Rocky Mountain Wednesdays” pics. I’ll be moving to the Wasatch part of the mountains in fall 2008 and appreciated the preview. Temps in our target town have been at single-digit highs all week.I have a LOT to learn (I’ve been a SoCA girl my whole life.) Anyway, thanks for sharing. I’d like to visit again.

    Mary Kathryn,
I have loved exploring your blog! You do such beautiful work. I have a question about the biscornu you made out of the Debbie Draper design. I have the Draper freebie design, but I was wondering where you found the design for the back, as I really liked that. I’m afraid you are going to say it’s something you graphed up yourself – I do that when I get frustrated about not finding what I want. I would really appreciate you sharing the information with me. Thanks for all your hard work on this blog.

  13. Hi

I have had a look at your work and it’s stunning . I was wondering if you would be interested in showcasing some of your work on Stitcher’s Showcase.

Stitcher’s Showcase is a website my husband Jeff and I have started that is dedicated to stitching artists showcasing their work, including quilting and tapestry artists. We want to provide a great community for artists to showcase their work and to interact. We would love to see you bring your talents to the site.

We hope the community will inspire others and help them with their activities.

There is no charge. You can customise your own page and include a link back to your website to help promote your own activities. We only ask no blatant commercial promotion of products etc.

    The website is http://StitchersShowcase.com

If you like the site and would be kind enough to help us spread the word, a mention in your blog or on your website would be greatly appreciated.

Regardless, I would love to see you showcase your work there.

Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely
