Two quick stitches from JBW Designs. Sorry for the leaning pictures, I took about 25 and this one turned out the best. I stitched the rooster on 32 lambswool linen from Wichelt using DMC 310. The ribbon is velvet and I used Weeks Dye Works Wool on the back in the color Kohl.
Not sure what I plan for Lark which is stitched on 32 R&R Flax Fields (I think – it is from my scrap basket) I used Carrie’s Threads in the new color Multi Grain.
I have 2 ornaments to catch up on for the Bride’s Tree SAL and my Fair & Square exchange to get finished up in the next few days. I’m wrapping up another finishing project that involves bright colors and kitties and I have a final term paper to finish up. Better get moving!
For a treat I thought I’d share these new Belle Soie Silk Colours from Crescent Colours – yummy!
:0)

The rooster pillow is one of the cleverest marriages of stitching and fabric I’ve seen – what a delightful project. You are so inspiring! I just wish I knew how you manage to pack 48 hours of life into a 24 hour day!
Mary Kathryn – your pillow is so absolutely out of this world that I am speechless. It would look perfect in my house!!! I cannot wait to stitch mine. Perhaps I will send it to you for finishing. You do such beautiful work. Love the Lark too. I’m going to have to order this.
