Rocky Mountain Wednesdays

A very grey day, with a bit of rain. During the afternoon Jerry hiked up one of our favorite spots in RMNP, the alluvial fan. You can read more about it here. I was so excited to see TWO moose (mooses, moosen?) this evening! I’ve only seen moose a few times and never had an opportunity to take a photo, these aren’t great but I thought I’d share them with you.

A perfect ending to a grey day!

  1. You have MOOSE in Colorado? Really?!? Wow!
I can’t view the pictures – work and the service you use (flicker??? or something similar) don’t play well together!
I was visiting the store site and I’m hoping some of your stock sticks around until my next stashing opportunity!

  2. I don’t usually comment, but I love your “Rocky Mountain Wednesday” photos. The rainbow picture is awesome. I never cease to be amazed by God’s creation.

  3. Great picts, MK! I love the moosies…and the rainbow.

BTW…the rest of my order came today – thanks so much for the great service!! Now I just need to find some time to stitch.

  4. Mary Kathyn,
I cannot believe that you get to see such beautiful things on a daily basis. From your photos alone I now have the desire to visit Colorado. Beautiful and amazing!!!

  5. The pictures that you post are absolutely unbelievable. I have NEVER seen a moose, I had hoped to during my many trips up to Vermont but no luck….Thanks for posting that picture. 🙂 Where do you live that you have such gorgeous surroundings?

  6. I kind of like “moosen” 🙂
Your pictures are especially beautiful this week. I love the first one with the big wide green and the dark skies and shadowy mountains. And the rainbow – always a gift.

Home of a Needleworker is looking beautiful!
