Jerry, Ethan, and I spent the entire day in Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday.  It was beautiful.  We drove the full length of Trail Ridge Road twice.  The meadows are full of wildflowers, even above treeline.

I was on the lookout for a Mountain Bluebird, we saw very few birds of any sort.  We saw elk in the distance and an unusually large deer as you can see.

I took as many pictures of the wildflowers as I could and will attempt to identify them for future posts – very pretty.

Such a great day!!

  1. Hi Mary, I just now checked out some of your things. I couldn’t move around and find what I wanted and don’t really know what you are doing. Do you sell things? Anyway I love your pillow “A comfortable house over my head” and wondered where I could get that cross stitch pattern. Hope you get this and I will keep trying to get ahold of you! Karen Olson

    • Karen, Mary Kathryn has an Online Needlework Shop at http://www.ehandcrafts.com !! Click on Patterns to see what she has in stock! She also has an account at Hoffman Distributing and if you see something there you would like, she can get that for you as well. You will love doing business with her!

  2. Dear Mary kathryn, as usual, beautiful pictures, i love the one with all the country flowers!
Have a nice continuation for the week!

  3. I just love your Rocky Mtn Wednesdays the pictures are always stunning! We live close to the Blue Ridge Mtns and on a clear day can see the mtns – but compared to your views, our mtns are just hills 🙂 And we definitely don’t grow deer that big in Virginia.

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with all of us.

  4. It’s always gratifying to know the mountains still stand, the deer still roam, the wild flowers still wave their beautiful colors in the wind, and that somewhere in late summer there’s still a bit of snow. Gorgeous, as always!!
