Back to the Pawnee National Grasslands and the Pawnee Buttes. Birds of prey nest in the holes and cracks on the sides of the buttes in the Spring and early Summer. I’ve seen pictures of these taken at sunset and they are really beautiful with the big colored sky around them. We were there in the afternoon, I’m not sure I’d want to drive around out there after dark, there is truly nothing for miles.

In the other photos you can see some prairie wildflowers, signs of the past (and the future if you look behind the old windmill for new ones) and an antelope.

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
