first day of school….

one more day

We begin our 17th year – – Y E A R (I can hardly beleive it) of homeschooling today. This year we will be doing 9th grade and 2nd grade.

The best news of the day, Jerry is coming home after being gone for a month for work, it will be nice to see his face again!

PS – I personalized Rebecca Small from Little House Needleworks to make this little keepsake.

  1. Wow! Homeschooling for 17 years. Goodness! I’m contemplating homeschooling next year for my now 10 & 8 year old sons. I feel a little overwhelmed with the thought to be honest.

  2. I homeschool too! Yes some days are overwhelming but overall I am so glad we are doing it.

I LOVE what you did, I am so stealing your idea!

  3. Oh, what a fun finish! This is the first year in 14 years that I am *not* homeschooling! Both my girls graduated this past year. Technically I guess I’m not done… my ds is still at home and schooling, but he’s doing an online school cuz I couldn’t help him with AP Physics, Calculus and Advanced Computer Programming. Go figure. 🙂

  4. Mary Kathryn,
Wow! 17 years. I bet even through the ups and downs of homeschooling you have enjoyed every minute. I have a 9th grader this year. I love homeschooling and so does he.

I love your version of the LHN design. Lovely stitching. Thanks for the idea!

  5. My youngest graduated from homeschooling in 2003. Even though my guys and their wives are doing great and my life is full, I often miss those days. It was worth every minute.
