It may be a bit late in the summer, and I wouldn’t quite call my plants ‘prolific’ which is what the young man at the farmer’s market said regarding the plants I bought…but we had our first fresh from the garden squash tonight!
I plucked this a few moments before I sliced and steamed it in the microwave with butter and garlic salt, yum. I served this with some raw califlower, Buffalo chicken breasts and blue cheese dressing. A quick summer dinner.
It looks like I might get a few more side dishes yet this summer!
